Capt Tony picks up at Jb's fish camp in New Smyrna beach, New Smyrna beach boat ramps, Riverbreeze Park in Oak Hill and Edgewater boat ramp in Edgewater. All boat ramps are within 10-15 minutes of New Smyrna beach and within an hour of Orlando and most attractions.
Capt Tony supplies all rods, reels, bait, lures and any other tackle needed for your trip. Capt. Tony will also have a large cooler with ice and water for you, feel free to bring other drinks and snacks that can go in Capt Tony's cooler.
Hat and polarized sunglasses are a necessity, dress accordingly to the weather, its better to over dress in the winter!!
Capt Tony does 4 and 6 hour trips
Capt Tony targets redfish,seatrout and black drum year round. Snook and tarpon are seasonal.
Capt Tony uses Penn spinning reels and light action Temple fork outfitter rods. Fly rod is Temple fork outfitters BVK and reel is by Galvin.
Capt Tony will allow a few fish that are in season to be kept within the law! Capt Tony will filet and bag those fish for you at the ramp.
Most trips typically leave the dock promptly at sunrise.
Best time of year for catching best number is May-August.
Best time to try for a trophy trout is April-May
Redfish school from Jan-April this is the best time to catch good numbers. If trophy redfish are your thing you'llwant to fish for them in Aug-Oct.
Redfish are now catch and release from New Smyrna Beach south to Sebastian Inlet.
Snook and Tarpon are a subtropical fish and prefer warm water, so best time to try for Snook and Tarpon is typically April-October. That does vary due to weather conditions.
